Park Terrace Lane in Champaign is scheduled for a significant upgrade as part of the City's 2024 Concrete Street Improvements Project. The City of Champaign announced that the pavement on Park Terrace Lane from Robert Drive to Augusta Drive will undergo reconstruction, with Stark Excavating being appointed as the contractor for the project.

The City of Champaign stated, "As part of the City’s 2024 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Park Terrace Lane from Robert Drive to Augusta Drive will be reconstructed." Additionally, they confirmed that "Stark Excavating will be the contractor for the City of Champaign and will begin work, weather permitting, on May 6, 2024."

Commencing on May 6, 2024, the westbound lane of Park Terrace Lane between Robert Drive and Augusta Drive will be closed for the construction activities. During this period, this section of Park Terrace Lane will temporarily transform into one-lane, one-way eastbound traffic only. The entire project is anticipated to last approximately four to six weeks, with lawn restoration planned for the fall season to ensure the new sod's successful growth.

The City of Champaign is committed to enhancing its infrastructure through projects like the 2024 Concrete Street Improvements Project, which aims to improve the quality and safety of roads within the city. Residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly to accommodate the temporary lane closures and traffic adjustments during the construction period.
